Meent is assisting an international Sports Media Rights Agency in recruiting their Head of Sales & Acquisitions MENA on a permanent contract.

Our client is a boutique sports media rights agency; the management are well established in the industry with vast experience in structuring innovative transactions in the media rights market. The agency specialises in media rights distribution, digital/betting solutions, media production, sponsorship, partnerships and consultancy.

We are looking for an experienced Head of Sales & Acquisitions for MENA. The position will be a part of the commercial team reporting to the Managing Director and will be based in Dubai. 

Role

  • Support media sales and operations activities related to the media rights portfolio ;
  • Contribute to acquiring products ;
  • Contribute to global selling activities ;
  • Provide market intelligence for the evaluation of new media rights properties ;
  • Travel when required.

Missions & Responsibilities

  • Analyse market trends and viewing figures to provide compelling arguments for sales negotiations, keeping up to date with any emerging trends and changing consumer behaviours ;
  • Scout new clients and prospects in selected markets to generate new revenue ;
  • Contribute to the acquisition of new properties with market analysis and business intelligence, in close cooperation with other departments ;
  • Managing contract negotiations with both clients and suppliers ;
  • Keeping up to date with all relevant changes in the region to provide regular market insights, support strategy planning and to identify interesting partnerships/ventures to target.

Profile Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of the media rights business and the sports market with a network to utilize ; 
  • Fluent spoken and written English and Arabic ;
  • Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to think creatively and structure innovative deals that satisfy multiple stakeholders ;
  • Demonstrate impeccable integrity by consistently acting as a trusted advisor, prioritising client needs and long-term success above short-term gains or individual transactions ;
  • You are collaborative, enjoy working as part of a geographically widespread team and can build great relationships across the business whilst continuing to work independently ;
  • A strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset ;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills ;
  • Ability to work with contracts, draft presentations and reports ;
  • Sponsorship and advertising sales/acquisition experience advantageous.

  • Contract Type: Full-time permanent contract
  • Location: Dubai (UAE) preferred – Open for remote  
  • Starting date: ASAP
  • Salary: Dependent on experience €120,000 - €150,000 + Commission
